Once-Daily PREZCOBIX® is for:

  • Adults who have never taken HIV medicines before
  • Many adults who have taken HIV medicines in the past
  • Patients who are 18 years of age or older

PREZCOBIX® (darunavir/cobicistat) is a prescription medicine taken with other HIV medications for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults. It is one treatment option in the class of HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) medicines known as protease inhibitors.

PREZCOBIX® dosing:

one tablet taken once daily with food

PREZCOBIX® Combination Tablet: 800 mg of darunavir and 150 mg of cobicistat.

PREZCOBIX® is a combination of two prescription medicines: darunavir, a type of HIV-1 medicine called a protease inhibitor, and cobicistat, a type of medicine that increases the amount of darunavir in your blood.

PREZCOBIX® is always taken in combination with other HIV medications for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults.  

How should I take PREZCOBIX®?

TIP: It is helpful to track when you need to take your medications every day. TIP: Try taking your medications while doing something you already do daily, like brushing your teeth. It’s an easier way to remember to take your medication.

TIP: If you have trouble swallowing pills, taking a sip of water first can do the trick. Especially if your mouth is dry, drink some water just before putting a pill in your mouth. Then take a few additional gulps to swallow.

Do not change your dose of PREZCOBIX® or stop treatment without talking to your healthcare provider first. If you take too much PREZCOBIX®, call your healthcare provider or go to the nearest hospital emergency room right away.
